Day 1: Depart for Tbilisi

Take your flight to Tbilisi.

Day 2: Tbilisi

Arrival in Tbilisi, meet in the airport and transfer to a hotel for rest.

Tbilisi – the capital of Georgia is an elegant mixture of eastern and western cultures. Venture out in the old winding streets to explore this exotic city and later indulge yourself to sit in the small cozy café and enjoy the picturesque views over the old town. The tour will take you from the century old churches to the amazing panoramic views and famous bath district which attracted lots of people during the centuries.

Day 3: Tbilisi/Mtskheta/Bakuriani

Start the tour from driving to the ancient capital of Georgia- Mtskheta and visit two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Svetitskhoveli cathedral (11^th c) and Jvari monastery, located on a hilltop (6^th cc).

Later on we continue our way to Borjomi spa town. We stop at the park and take a chance to try mineral water `Borjomi`. Possibility to take a cable car overlooking the beautiful gorge. In the late afternoon drive up to Bakuriani.

Day 4: Bakuriani/Vardzia/Bakuriani

Today we visit one of the highlights of Georgia – Vardzia cave town (12^th c). The town still amazes its visitors with its grander, beauty and mystical atmosphere. Wondering in this cave town will truly take you back to the 12^th c when Georgia was flourishing, the period of Georgian renaissance. Here you will see small enchanting church beautiful for its frescoes, dwelling quarters, wine cellars and granaries, pharmacy and even the library. Visit Khertvisi fortress en route.

Afterwards return back to Bakuriani.

Day 5: Bakuriani/Gori /Gudauri

Another beautiful and picturesque day awaits us today. Start driving to Gori and then to the ancient cave town of Uplistsikhe. That’s a place where Great Silk Road used to pass. The cave town is z real fairytale, enabling to discover the ancient treasure of Georgia.  Afterwards we continue driving up to Georgian Military Highway and en route enjoy the fascinating views. On the way to Gudauri make a stop at Ananuri complex (16^th-17^th cc) to enjoy the picturesque views over Jinvali reservoir. Arrive in Gudauri.

Day 6: Gudauri/Kazbegi/Tbilisi

Today we drive to Kazbegi and enjoy the stunning scenic all the way. Upon arrival in Kazbegi we start walking up to Gergeti Trinity church (14th c). Hiking up to the mountain is of moderate difficulty but it is all worthwhile. The beauty all along the way and up to the church will make you forget about tiredness. In clear weather you may even see one of the highest peaks in the Caucasus –Mt. Kazbegi (5047 m).

In the afternoon drive back to Tbilisi.

Day 7: Departure

Transfer to the airport and depart home.
