Wine & Sighnaghi

Kakheti province with its fertile soil is the perfect place to grow vines and make wine.

We’ll visit two wineries – a bigger winery with manufactured wines that are exported abroad and a farmer’s wine-cellar. In a winery we take a tour and taste four different wines.

In a farmer’s wine-cellar you get acquainted with traditional way of wine-making, see “Qvevri” buried under the ground and taste home-made Georgian red and white wines as well as Georgian fire-water (vodka) “Chacha”.

In the afternoon travel to a tiny town of Sighnaghi surrounded by a wall. Enjoy the great view over the Alazani River Valley topped by the Great Caucasus Mountains.

Return to Tbilisi.
