Ethnography and Mtatsminda
Duration 2.5 hours
Ethnographic Museum gathers houses from different provinces of Georgia.
Mt. Mtatsminda offers the great views over the town. The best way to reach the top of the mount is the 2 carriage Funicular train. Funicular railway was opened in 1905. Taking this short train journey is a fantastic way of enjoying the views.
We visit the open air Ethnographic Museum and see different wood and stone built houses. We return to the center and continue to Mtatsminda on the Funicular train. Enjoy the views from the top. At Mama Daviti Monastery we’ll see the Pantheon of Georgia’s most famous poets, writers and public figures.
