Day 1: Arrive in Tbilisi
Arrive in Tbilisi and transfer to a hotel.
Day 2: Tbilisi
We have short walking tour of Tbilisi visiting the highlights of the Old Town with beautiful Orthodox Christian Churches, Mosque, Synagogue, famous and refreshing Sulphur Baths, narrow cobbled streets with hanging wooden carved multi-colored balconies and the 19th century houses following the architectural styles of the 19th century Europe, Narikala Fortress, the glass Bridge of Peace. Continue to Funicular train and visit Mtatsminda Children’s Park.

Day 3: Free day in Tbilisi
Enjoy your free day in Tbilisi or alternatively take an optional tour to Ethnographic Open Air Museum, Dry Bridge Flea and Art Market and Sameba Cathedral.

Day 4: Tbilisi/Mtskheta/Uplistsikhe/Borjomi
Travel to the ancient capital of Mtskheta, Svetitskhoveli Cathedral and Jvari Monastery – UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Enjoy the magnificent views of Mtskheta, located on the confluence of Aragvi and Mtkvari Rivers, from Jvari Monastery. Follow the Great Silk Road to the cave city of Uplistsikhe. The town is dug in the sun-stone plateau and is of beautiful golden color. Initially there had been more than 500 caves, but during the existence of 3000 years it has lost much of it. Children can enjoy running around the caves. Borjomi spa town.

Day 5: Borjomi
Today you can enjoy a free day or do some optional tours.
You could do a 4-5hour hike at Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park or take a narrow gauge Kukushka train tour to Bakuriani ski resort. You can also relax at your hotel and enjoy the spa facilities with the children playing in the park or take a short walk to Children’s Park where you could try mineral water Borjomi.

Day 6: Borjomi/Vardzia/Akhaltsikhe/Borjomi
Visit the magnificent cave town of Vardzia. This is the biggest existing cave town of Georgia and is related to Georgia’s most beloved queen of the 12th century – Tamar. Enjoy lunch at a local cottage with home-made food. On our way back we visit a local family to see Meskhuri bread baking and try freshly baked bread with local cheese and Matsoni yogurt. In Akhaltsikhe we take a tour to Rabath Castle. Return to Borjomi.

Day 7: Borjomi/Kazbegi
Travel to the Great Caucasus Mountains along the Georgian Military Highway.
Stop to see Ananuri Fort with beautiful Churches located at the lee of the Great Caucasus Mountains and on top of Jinvali Water Reservoir. The setting is really magnificent and the carving of the church an unexpected discovery.
Continue over the serpentine road of the Cross Pass so named by Russian Emperor Catherine II. The Cross Pass is also the watershed and rivers on the other side of the Cross Pass flow to Russia. You descend from 2395m – the highest point of the Cross Pass to 1700m, Kazbegi.

Day 8: Kazbegi
Today you can enjoy a free day or do some optional tours.
You can hike up to Gergeti Trinity Church and enjoy the views from the top. Alternatively, you can hire bikes and ride them to sno Valley. Horse riding is also an option today; you can ride either to Gergeti Church or to Sno Valley.

Day 9: Kazbegi/Tbilisi
Transfer to Pasanauri where you meet your rafting instructors and enjoy white-water rafting on Aragvi River. Finish the tour at Ananuri and drive to Tbilisi.

Day 10: Departure
Transfer to the airport and depart home.
