Ride to Lomisa

Duration 8 hours, involves 2 hour riding and 2 hour walking

When you travel to the Great Caucasus Mountains you’ll have your heart beat stronger as you see those huge mountains towering the valleys. On top of Lomisa Hill there’s a ridge and you’ll see a tiny church of St. George nestled in the saddle of the mountain flanks.

The location of the church is superb as it overlooks two valleys of the Caucasus and it makes you feel you’re standing on top of the universe.

You’ll travel by car to Qvesheti village where you meet your horses and take an uphill ride to the church. Visit the church and return to your car walking on a steep downhill. After the walk you’ll meet your driver and return to Tbilisi.
