trekking tours four - Georgia Tourism and Attractions

Tucked away in the Great Caucasus Mountains of Georgia, Tusheti is one of the most incredible areas in Georgia. With the pristine grasslands, towers with pyramid-shaped roofs, villages emerged on top of the mountains with stone built houses, sheep flock outspread on the hills, Tushetian songs on harmonic at evening bonfires with the moon gazing down to misty mountains make Tusheti so poetic that it’s often referred as the land of poetry.

The car path to Tusheti is open only from late spring to early autumn and is listed on the 10 most dangerous roads in the world. The highest point of the road is Abano Pass 2900m.

Tusheti is full of people – local and visitors in summer but in winter there’re only several families in entire Tusheti.

Trekking in the remote and wild Tusheti is a real paradise for active guests wishing to explore the province on foot.
